Diesen Monat in WoW: August 2016
In der letzten Nacht veröffentlichten die Entwickler von World of Warcraft wieder einmal einen neuen Blogeintrag auf der offiziellen Internetseite dieses MMORPGs, der die Spielerschaft dieses Mal im Grunde über alle im kommenden August 2016 in diesem Titel oder in der Community anstehenden Events und Ereignisse informieren soll. Dabei listet dieser Artikel der Mitarbeiter von Blizzard Entertainment beispielsweise die in diesem Monat stattfindenden wöchentlichen Bonus-Events, die einzelnen Teile des Pre-Events der nächsten Erweiterung, die von der Spielerschaft organisierten Podcasts und selbstverständlich auch den für den 30. Pre-expansion Patch—New Content Arrives August 9
Starting on August 9 with maintenance in each region, the Burning Legion’s incursion on Azeroth will get underway, and players who have pre-purchased the expansion will be able to create their first Demon Hunters.

Legion Launches August 30

Ten years ago, on August 22, 2006, Patch 1.12—The Drums of War brought cross-realm Battlegrounds and World PvP objectives to World of Warcraft.
For the first time, players squared off in Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus for control of strategic positions and resources. The fighting in Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, and Warsong Gulch intensified as players found themselves squaring off against opponents from other realms. It was all-out war!

Darkmoon Faire: August 7 – 14
Come one, come all—step up for a fun-filled week of activities that will keep you coming back for more! Participate in games to earn special prizes! Everybody’s a winner at the Darkmoon Faire!
During the first week of each month, convenient Darkmoon Faire outposts with Darkmoon Portals will appear in Elwynn Forest and Mulgore, offering free rides to Darkmoon Island and the Faire.
Bonus Events:
Timewalking Dungeon Event: Cataclysm — August 2-9
While this event is active, players level 86 or higher may access a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue, which scales players and their items down to revisit past dungeons from the Cataclysm expansion. While Timewalking, bosses will yield loot appropriate for a player’s natural level.
Apexis Crystal Bonus Event — August 9-16
While this event is active, Apexis Crystal gains are multiplied. Get yourself to Tanaan Jungle and cash in on the Apexis Windfall.
Draenor Dungeons Event – August 16-23
While this event is active, defeating enemies in any level 100 Heroic or Mythic dungeon will award reputation with an appropriate Draenor faction.
